Snapshot of Your Day

  • Ensure high-quality project execution for the supply of gas compressors, control systems, and related equipment from order entry through final delivery and warranty. Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality standards, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Project Quality Plans (PQPs) while facilitating seamless coordination with suppliers, cross-functional teams, Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIAs), and end clients. Accountable for compliance with customer technical specifications, applicable codes/standards, and defect-free, on-time project outcome

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Quality Planning & Execution: Develop and implement project-specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Project Quality Plans (PQPs), and project-specific procedures (including NDE, Hydro test, Helium test, etc.) in alignment with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Meeting & Stakeholder Coordination: Participate in internal and external project meetings (IKOM, EKOM, PIM) to provide key quality input and recommendations. Coordinate with global locations in case of inter-company orders.
  • Source & Vendor Inspection: Carry out source inspections as per approved ITPs (including material identification, material testing, NDE, weld visual, final dimension, hydro, painting, etc.). Coordinate with SCM, Suppliers, and TPIAs for source inspections at vendor facilities for packaging, extended scope, and auxiliary items.
  • Supplier & Vendor Quality Management: Review and approve supplier/vendor quality documentation (ITPs, PQPs, Hydro/Helium/NDE procedures, Weld Maps, WPS/PQR/WPQ, inspection reports). Approve supplier quality files in accordance with contract ITPs and issue Shipment Clearance Notes for MBOs. Support SQD and SCM teams with supplier evaluation, audits, and performance improvement.
  • Technical Analysis & Documentation: Conduct critical analysis of technical specifications with buyers before sending RFQs to suppliers to ensure clear understanding. Support BM team in providing necessary inputs and raising technical queries at the RFQ stage. Prepare, update, and implement inspection checklists and SOPs for MBOs (Skids, Consoles, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, etc.).

What You Bring

  • Supplier & Vendor Quality Assurance PROBLEM SOLVING: Managing stringent quality, inspection, and design requirements in a highly engineered-to-order environment involving multiple entities (end users, technical consultants, TPIAs, internal departments, and vendors). Timely appraisal and disposition of non-conforming materials, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and driving corrective/preventive actions to prevent schedule delays and financial impact.
  • Navigating multi-agency priorities and matrix organization structures to maintain project progress and quality compliance. KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Educational Qualification & Experience: bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Fabrication / Production Engineering.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a Quality Engineer / Quality Manager role, preferably in Oil & Gas, Heavy Machinery Manufacturing, or a similar industry. Technical Standards & Certifications:
  • II, Sec. VIII Div. 1/Div. 2, Sec. V, EN-13445, TEMA, ASTM, API 614, API 617, etc.), and continuos improvisent méthodologies (Six Sigma, Lean).
  • NDE Level II certification in RT, PT, MT, UT & VT as per ASNT-TC-1A and EN 9712. Certification in Welding Inspection (CSWIP) or Painting Inspection (BGAS / NACE) is an added advantage.
  • Experience in preparing and verifying weld maps with WPS/PQR for Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex Steel, Nickel Alloys, and Titanium materials.
  • Proven experience in preparation and verification of documents per requirements of ASME U & R Stamp, CE-PED, REACH, TRCU, GOST, etc., certifications. Mandatory Skills & Competencies: ? Demonstrated leadership and people management capability with a relentless focus on problem- solving and results orientation.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, as well as present information to management and clients. High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools and standard business computerized applications. Exceptional organizational skills, time management, systematic reporting, record-keeping, and a strong sense of urgency for critical path deliverables.
