A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as a Tools & Instruments Asset Controller, where you will play a vital role in managing the logistics and availability of tooling for SGT field service operations at our Lincoln facility. Imagine ensuring that field service outages are equipped with the necessary tools on time, contributing directly to operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will focus on three core areas: logistics and coordination to manage the complex flow of tools, asset and inventory management to oversee the lifecycle of tools including maintenance and calibration, and system administration to ensure data integrity within SAP. With your extensive experience in material scheduling and asset management, you will facilitate resolutions in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the Field Service team can perform at their best.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will manage the daily logistics flow to coordinate multiple tools across internal and external processes, ensuring on-time delivery for field service outages.
  • Facilitate the resolution of tooling availability problems by organizing timely actions and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Purchasing, Shipping, and Warehouse teams to align on tooling requirements, priorities, and schedules, negotiating work requirements and priorities to meet outage plans.
  • Execute all tooling stock transactions and maintain accountability for the accuracy of asset data within the SAP system, controlling the lifecycle of tooling assets through calibration, repair, and replacement activities.
  • Oversee the daily management of all relevant orders within the SAP system, generating and presenting weekly and monthly performance reports on data accuracy, work order status, and issue resolution to management.

What You Bring

  • An ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) or equivalent in an Engineering or Commercial discipline is required; HNC (Higher National Certificate) is desirable.
  • Extensive experience in a logistics or asset management role, specifically with material scheduling, expediting, and inventory control.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced operational environment with tight time constraints, preferably supporting field service or manufacturing operations.
  • Sound product knowledge of relevant engines and a strong understanding of tooling processes and their inter-relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for managing competing demands and facilitating resolutions.
