A Snapshot of your day
Your day involves executing specialized welding activities on-site, including weld build-ups and weld repairs on critical power generation equipment, while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards under the guidance of Field Service leadership. You apply advanced welding expertise and critical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges, supporting the reliable operation and maintenance of plant assets during outage and service activities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Execute maintenance, repair, modification, and welding activities on large steam and gas turbine generators at customer power plants across KSA and international locations.
- Work as part of and lead mechanical maintenance crews in the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of turbine generators and associated equipment.
- Plan and execute site activities in compliance with Siemens Energy Quality, EHS standards, project documentation, and safety procedures.
- Conduct site surveys, review technical drawings and task plans, develop maintenance strategies, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams and subcontractors.
- Championing a strong safety culture by leading safety programs, conducting risk assessments, enforcing PPE requirements, and ensuring a safe working environment during outage and maintenance activities.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in welding repairs and weld build-ups, with formal technical training in Welding Technology or a related trade discipline.
- Proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes, with the ability to perform complex welding on carbon and stainless-steel materials.
- Capable of passing 6G heavy-wall pipe welding tests using GTAW and SMAW processes, demonstrating advanced welding competency.
- Experienced in interpreting machine drawings, weld drawings, and technical specifications to support maintenance and repair activities.
- Willing and able to undertake extensive international travel (70%+, 200-250 days per year) and work demanding outage schedules across global customer sites.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
