About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of the plant's instrumentation, control, automation, and Distributed Control System (DCS) infrastructure.
You will support maintenance planning and execution while providing technical leadership to I&C engineers and technicians. Through effective supervision, troubleshooting, and preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, you will help ensure plant systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while supporting high plant availability and operational performance.
How You'll Make an Impact
I&C Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Lead and perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on plant instrumentation and control systems in accordance with established maintenance plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning or faulty I&C equipment and control systems.
• Support the maintenance and optimization of instrumentation, automation, and DCS infrastructure.
• Diagnose equipment and system faults and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment reliability and plant availability.
Team Supervision & Maintenance Execution
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to I&C engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and ensure work is executed according to established priorities and maintenance schedules.
• Support maintenance planning, resource coordination, and execution activities.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to applicable technical standards and procedures.
• Develop team capabilities through technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
HSE & Compliance
• Ensure strict compliance with plant Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure the safety of employees and contractors during maintenance activities.
• Identify and escalate potential safety and operational risks.
Maintenance Systems & Reporting
• Utilize computerized plant maintenance management systems to report faults, document maintenance activities, and request required materials.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.
• Support maintenance planning and reporting through accurate technical information.
• Monitor recurring equipment issues and contribute to reliability improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Automation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Equivalent professional experience within a comparable industrial environment may also be considered.
Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Control, automation, or controls maintenance within power generation, industrial plants, or comparable heavy industries.
• Strong hands-on experience in preventive, corrective, and predictive I&C maintenance.
• Proven experience troubleshooting instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience supervising and coordinating I&C engineers, technicians, and maintenance execution activities.
• Experience working within structured plant maintenance and Permit-to-Work environments.
• Power generation or power plant O&M experience is strongly preferred.
