About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate the planning, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment across the plant. Your scope will include switchgear, valve actuators, generators, electric motors, frequency converters, power supplies, and associated electrical systems.
You will provide technical leadership to the electrical maintenance team, ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned and executed in accordance with equipment manufacturer recommendations, Siemens Energy procedures, EHS requirements, quality standards, and operational priorities. Your role will contribute directly to plant reliability, availability, and safe operation.
How You'll Make an Impact
Electrical Maintenance & Technical Execution
• Develop, update, issue, and implement maintenance work plans and work orders based on Equipment Manufacturer recommendations, Fault Notifications (FNs), Siemens Energy instructions, Product Change Management (PCM), Product Bulletins, and customer requirements.
• Plan and supervise the disassembly, inspection, measurement, repair, assembly, and electrical testing of plant equipment in workshop and field environments.
• Provide technical support for the diagnosis and resolution of electrical equipment faults.
• Support maintenance and repair activities involving generators, electric motors, switchgear, valve actuators, frequency converters, and power supply systems.
• Analyze electrical faults and determine appropriate corrective actions to restore equipment reliability and availability.
Generator & Motor Maintenance
• Provide technical supervision for inspection and maintenance activities involving electric generators and motors.
• Support inspection and diagnosis of generator and motor rotors, stators, insulation systems, windings, rings, brushes, bearings, couplings, and associated components.
• Ensure appropriate electrical testing and measurements are performed according to technical requirements and applicable procedures.
• Review inspection findings and recommend appropriate maintenance or repair actions.
Team Leadership & Maintenance Coordination
• Supervise and provide technical leadership to the electrical maintenance team.
• Lead service teams and specialized personnel during planned and corrective maintenance activities.
• Allocate tasks, priorities, personnel, and resources to support effective maintenance execution.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across workshop and field environments.
• Support the technical development and performance of electrical maintenance personnel.
HSE, Quality & Permit-to-Work
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable EHS standards and plant safety requirements.
• Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes.
• Ensure work plans and permits are properly prepared and implemented before maintenance activities begin.
• Verify compliance with procedures, work instructions, acceptance criteria, EHS protocols, and quality requirements throughout maintenance execution.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the electrical maintenance team.
Technical Documentation & Reporting
• Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, tolerances, measurements, and technical service documentation.
• Compile and review technical inspection reports prepared by Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure maintenance findings, measurements, corrective actions, and recommendations are properly documented and traceable.
• Utilize plant management systems to support maintenance planning, execution, and reporting.
What You Bring
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
• Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, repair, technical supervision, or field service within power generation or a comparable heavy industrial environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with electric generators, electric motors, switchgear, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Proven experience supervising electrical maintenance teams and technical personnel.
• Experience planning and supervising complex maintenance, inspection, repair, assembly, and testing activities.
• Experience working within structured PTW, LOTO, EHS, and power plant safety environments.
• Power generation / power plant O&M experience is strongly preferred.
