A Snapshot of Your Day

The Head of Overhauls and Testing – Service Competence Center NA will establish and oversee the Overhauls and Testing facilities within the NA Service Competence Center to support the significant growth in the regional distributed gas turbine fleet. The position is responsible for developing overhaul and testing capabilities, building teams and operational processes, and managing financial performance, quality, and long-term operational success. The role will report to the Head of the Service Competence Center NA and lead the strategic planning and resource allocation through daily technical operations. The ideal candidate brings extensive energy-sector leadership experience, including gas turbine overhaul and testing expertise, facility implementation, team development, budgeting, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the strategic development, launch, and operational management of the gas turbine Overhauls and Testing Centers in close collaboration with the PCCs and the regional execution teams to support regional fleet growth and service objectives of the distributed gas-turbine fleet in NA.
  • Establish and optimize operational processes, resource planning, and project execution methodologies to ensure efficient, scalable, and high-quality overhaul and testing capabilities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team while ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety standards and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee departmental budgeting, resource allocation, procurement, and cost management to achieve operational and financial targets.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on facility performance, project progress, financial results, and key operational metrics.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, seamless project execution, and successful service delivery across the organization.
  • Monitor and drive performance through KPI management, focusing on quality, cost, schedule, productivity, and workforce effectiveness.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • 10 or more years’ experience in technical service operations, gas turbine overhauls, gas turbines testing, manufacturing, or project management, preferably within the energy industry.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing teams, budgets, and strategic planning.
  • Previous experience working with US customers and the US market or operations is required.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50%, especially during the initial stages of establishing the competence center.

About the Team

The Distributed Service Competence Center in NA is the service backbone for the rapidly growing distributed fleet. The competence center will oversee and be responsible for regional cores, parts, logistics, overhaul & testing operations, ensuring readiness for major growth in the distributed fleet, increasing service events, and evolving customer expectations.
