As a Senior Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for generation of Protection Engineering drawings/documents in line with internal and customer Design Specifications, adhering to programme, budget, quality, health & safety requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Production / Approval of Protection Engineering Detailed Design Packages
- Production / Approval of Engineering Technical Specifications
- Production / Approval of Design Risk Assessments
- Maintain the design change control process on associated schemes
- Provide timely responses to non-conformances raised through the NCR+ process
- Coordinate with other departments in resolution of interdisciplinary issues
- Attend site meetings to discuss and advise construction staff on site related issues
- Attend Technical Meetings with Client, site or office based, to ensure Client satisfaction
- Gain product knowledge and site knowledge through visits to UK sites and German factories.
- Provide tendering support when required
- Co-ordinate with Technology team by contributing on technical issues to facilitate Type Registration including design approval
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum HNC/ Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering
- Experience within the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry, including UK Transmission System experience
- Conversant with the latest Transmission and Distribution standards & technologies applicable to Protection Engineering
- Flexible approach to design solutions / Decision making skills
- Positive working attitude, able to demonstrate self-motivation and a proactive approach
- Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage, motivate and inspire others within the project secondary design team
- Good customer focus skills
