A Snapshot of Your Day
This position for a Project Manager is an addition to the team, driven by an increased volume of projects within the Siemens Energy Grid Technologies, Transformers, Order Execution unit for Latin America. This role is critical for ensuring business continuity and successfully delivering on our commitments to customers in the region. To address the growing project portfolio, this role will focus on three primary areas: comprehensive project lifecycle management, rigorous financial and risk oversight, and proactive stakeholder and vendor coordination. This structure ensures end-to-end accountability from project planning and execution to final delivery and closure, specifically within the context of transformer order execution. Given the focus on independent management of complex projects, the ideal candidate will be a Senior Professional with advanced knowledge of project management principles. Key requirements include proven experience in budgeting, scheduling, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication, aligning with the demands of a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment and projects that involved technologies as power transformers, AIS and GIS.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, schedules, resource requirements, and deliverables in compliance with Order Execution processes.
- Lead and organize project teams, assigning individual responsibilities and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards for transformer projects.
- Manage all phases of the project, from initiation to successful closure, ensuring that all objectives are met.
- Establish, monitor, and control project budgets, reporting on financial status, costs, and timing against forecasts.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve project risks, issues, and obstacles to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing communications and providing regular, transparent project status updates.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, professional experience in project management, preferably in industrial or engineering environments.
- PMP certification is desirable, with proven experience managing complex projects independently with limited supervision.
- Proficient in project and process management, including project management life cycle, implementation, documentation, and scheduling.
- Strong financial and risk management skills, including budgeting and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with skills in negotiation and influencing.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with a focus on customer relationship management.
