A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Procurement Specialist, you will execute procurement strategies for assigned commodities, supporting internal customers and partners through timely communication, visibility, and tactical execution. Working within a highly motivated, collaborative team, you will address daily operational challenges while partnering with global commodity management teams on long-term improvement initiatives. You will develop expertise in expediting, strategic negotiation, supply chain performance management, and procurement execution, with a strong focus on creating and issuing RFQ packages, identifying and engaging suppliers, negotiating quotes, resolving supply chain challenges, and placing and managing purchase orders. You will regularly collaborate with external suppliers and cross-functional teams, including design engineering, project management, global commodity management, cost value engineering, order management, and quality, making strong customer focus essential to success in this role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Leading and coordinating the purchase of parts and components.
  • Pulling, compiling, and analyzing engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Review, analyze and optimize applicable project data.
  • Develop strategies for your supply base to optimize performance and savings opportunities.
  • Create, negotiate and manage Supplier contracts to achieve Siemens Energy Business requirements.
  • Quoting parts and components.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Business or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Experience with SAP PD2/OPP.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • MS Tools with advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
