A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commercial Sales & Project Manager for Steam Turbines & Generators, you will be responsible for transforming complex business opportunities into profitable, executable, and compliant projects, acting as the key link between Sales, Bid Management, Project Management, Finance, Legal, Tax, Supply Chain, and Operations. Your responsibilities include reviewing customer tenders and commercial proposals, validating cost assumptions and pricing strategies, supporting contract negotiations, ensuring a smooth handover to project execution, monitoring revenue recognition, cash flow, risks and opportunities, and delivering reliable financial forecasts. In this role, you will serve as a strategic business partner, enabling sound decision-making, protecting Siemens Energy’s interests, and ensuring value creation for customers from the sales phase through project completion.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Commercial Leadership: Manage all commercial and financial aspects during bidding, including pricing, financing, risk, tax, compliance, and contractual terms.
  • Sales Support & Negotiation: Develop competitive business strategies and negotiate favorable commercial agreements with customers and partners.
  • Project Handover: Ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution with clear documentation of contracts, risks, assumptions, and approvals.
  • Commercial Project Management: Partner with the Project Manager to oversee project financials, commercial documentation, and overall business performance.
  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Drive forecasting, reporting, revenue recognition, cash flow management, and project financial closing activities.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor KPIs, identify deviations, and implement actions to improve profitability and cash generation.
  • Risk & Claim Management: Proactively manage risks, opportunities, contracts, and claims to protect project outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Audit teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster accountability, transparency, digitalization, automation, and data-driven decision-making.


What You Bring

  • Proven experience in Commercial Management, Bid Management, Project Controlling or Commercial Project Management;
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, tendering processes, commercial negotiations, and project governance;
  • Experience in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, invoicing, accruals, WIP, and revenue recognition;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and opportunities and translate data into actionable business insights;
  • Knowledge of financial reporting standards, compliance requirements, and project management methodologies (IFRS, LoA, PM@Siemens/PE@SE);
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams in a global environment;
  • Fluent English required; Spanish and Portuguese are considered an advantage for Latin America collaboration;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and digital tools, with experience in SAP, Salesforce, OnePM, Power BI, or similar platforms;
