A Snapshot of Your Day
Join Siemens Energy as a Commercial Project Officer and play a key role in shaping the commercial success of our Grid Technology business. You will support projects from bid preparation through execution, reviewing contract terms, evaluating project costs and profitability, and helping ensure strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project managers, legal, tax, and commercial teams, you will identify and manage risks, support forecasting activities, and drive effective cash collection. Your work will contribute directly to reliable, sustainable, and digital grid solutions that support the global energy transition.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will support bidding activities by reviewing commercial contract deviations, validating project costs and profitability, and coordinating approvals when required.
- You will collaborate with legal and tax experts to clarify contract terms, export business requirements, and onshore service-related topics.
- You will manage key SAP transactions including order intake, billing, delivery notes, change orders, and customer claim management.
- You will partner with Project Managers to monitor project costs, identify commercial risks, prepare risk reports, and support revenue, profit, and cash flow forecasting.
- You will contribute to monthly and annual closing activities, including project provisions, accruals, reversals, and payment collection for ongoing projects.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Contract Law, International Trade, or a related field, supported by solid practical knowledge.
- You bring more than 3 years of professional experience in commercial project management, business controlling, or a similar commercial finance role.
- You have strong communication and negotiation skills and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- You are comfortable working in English in a professional environment.
- Experience with SAP SD, CO, and FI modules is a plus. Digital capabilities such as Power BI, SQL, or experience applying AI solutions are highly valued.
