A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Field Service Representative (FSR) – Centrifugal Compressor, you will act as Siemens Energy’s technical representative at customer sites, providing field service support for centrifugal gas compressors and associated packages.

You will independently support preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, commissioning activities, and major interventions while ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Siemens Energy procedures, OEM recommendations, contractual requirements, and customer expectations.

Working in both onshore and offshore environments, you will analyze equipment conditions, identify technical issues, coordinate maintenance activities, and provide accurate technical reporting while supporting customers in maintaining reliable equipment operation and minimizing downtime.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Field Service & Maintenance

• Perform and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities on centrifugal gas compressors and associated equipment.
• Provide on-site inspection, call-out, troubleshooting, and commissioning support.
• Monitor maintenance and installation activities to ensure compliance with Siemens Energy procedures and OEM recommendations.
• Ensure major interventions are executed according to schedule and within applicable commercial orders.
• Support operations and maintenance teams during complex interventions and periods of increased workload.
• Repair and adjust mechanical and electrical components and systems within the scope of assigned activities.

Technical Troubleshooting & Equipment Monitoring

• Monitor compressor and package performance and identify abnormal sounds, vibrations, operating conditions, and potential safety risks.
• Analyze technical problems and determine appropriate solutions with limited supervision.
• Take timely corrective action to prevent equipment damage, production losses, and extended downtime.
• Interpret technical drawings, manuals, procedures, and other relevant engineering documentation.
• Apply knowledge of centrifugal compressors, rotating equipment, package systems, and gas compression processes to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities.

Planning & Operational Coordination

• Support short- to medium-term planning of personnel, materials, and resources required for routine maintenance and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure equipment is released on time for planned maintenance.
• Ensure required spare parts and materials are available and submit material requisitions when necessary.
• Monitor pending work and resource requirements to support efficient project and maintenance execution.
• Coordinate operational changes where necessary to minimize equipment downtime.

HSE & Quality

• Comply with Siemens Energy and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with site work permit systems and safe working practices.
• Participate in safety and toolbox meetings and proactively identify opportunities to improve site safety.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable quality requirements, company procedures, and manufacturer's recommendations.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer expectations, equipment reliability, and quality of execution.

Reporting & Customer Support

• Provide timely and accurate daily reports regarding ongoing projects, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.
• Maintain and update equipment histories to support reliability monitoring and future maintenance planning.
• Provide accurate technical feedback using established reporting formats.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors, internal stakeholders, and customer representatives.
• Act professionally as Siemens Energy's technical representative while supporting customer satisfaction.

What You Bring

Education

• Engineering degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive relevant experience and technical expertise may compensate for a lower academic qualification where appropriate.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, or a related industrial environment.
• Proven hands-on experience working with centrifugal compressors and associated packages.
• Previous experience working on recognized centrifugal compressor product lines in a field service or engineering capacity.
• Onshore and offshore experience is essential.
• Experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and/or commissioning activities on rotating equipment.
• Strong rotating equipment background is highly desirable.
• Experience with gas compression systems, compressor packages, and process operations is an advantage.
