A Snapshot of Your Day

In your new role, you will develop special tools and devices for gas turbines, generators and steam turbines for assembly and service work on power plant construction sites worldwide. You will use your experience in the field of mechanical engineering development. You can utilize your good knowledge in model and drawing creation as well as in documentation. In addition, you supervise and coordinate tool developments at external service providers/suppliers. You initiate necessary tests of the prototypes you have developed and supervise them until final release.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Design and field validation of tools and fixtures for GT/DT/GN assembly work
• Support and coordination of tool developments at external service providers/suppliers
• Project management and project participation in R&D projects
• Finite Element Method (FEM): Strength Verification
• Creation of material masters and BOMs in SAP OPP
• Technical clarifications of tools and fixtures
• Data management and conducting design reviews in Teamcenter
• Create parts, assemblies, and drawing derivatives

• Construction of special tools for gas turbines, generators and steam- turbines
• Creation of audit - proof drawings, material masters and parts lists. The design process includes design calculation, the creation of models and drawings, the creation of documentation, the import of data into the Teamcenter and SAP/OPP as well as the performance of a peer review
• New tool development
• Data management and conducting or participating in design reviews.
• Project management and/or project participation in R&D projects.
• Effort estimation for budget determination
• Technical clarification and production support
• Clarification of production/specification deviations (e.g. machining dimensions, characteristic values).
• Submit a production - related statement on error messages.
• To eliminate the causes of errors, analyze errors, develop and propose possible manufacturing and/or design solutions.
• Tracking error messages and implementation of proposed solutions under consideration of deadlines.
• Support of prototypes
• Field validation of prototypes and onsite support of field service personnel regarding the application of new tools and systems.
• Supervision and coordination of tool developments with external service providers/suppliers
• Release of manufacturing processes
• Evaluation of technical and design specifications for optimization and release of manufacturing processes

What You Bring

• You have successfully completed your studies in mechanical engineering (BSc or MSc.) or comparable training
• You have already gained professional experience in the field of tool development
• You have a good knowledge of Siemens NX (Creo Parametric is a plus), Teamcenter, SAP
• You bring your experience in the field of mechanical engineering development
• You already have good knowledge of model and drawing creation as well as in documentation
• In addition, you supervise and coordinate tool developments at external service providers/suppliers
• You initiate necessary tests of the prototypes you have developed and supervise them until final release
• Knowledge of occupational safety (legal and company regulations), standards and rules (VDE, CE) as well as good knowledge of Microsoft Office are prerequisites
• In addition, you have already gained experience with FEM - compliant designs and their requirements
• Your way of working is characterized by result orientation, communication skills, customer orientation and organizational skills.
• You are characterized by an affinity for complex technical contexts, have strong problem- solving skills and possess a high level of commitment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills round out your profile.
• Confident English knowledge + German is a plus
• Willingness to learn to meet all the listed requirements
