About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As Team Lead for Sales Distributed in Malaysia, you'll guide and support a team of Client Managers and Proposals/Order Management professionals, helping shape how responsibilities are shared to drive country and regional targets. You'll represent the business as part of the country leadership team and bring market expertise to internal and external conversations. Alongside this, you'll stay close to the ground by owning select key accounts, projects, and relationships based on the team's evolving needs.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Take ownership of the Order Entry and Sales pipeline for the Gas Services – Distributed business in Malaysia across all three Product Lines, while building and nurturing key customer relationships — from outage planning and transparency to encouraging Capex decisions for modernization, upgrades, and Long-Term Agreements
- Guide local pricing decisions with a focus on price-to-win, balancing wall-to-wall cost and profitability considerations, and continuously work to strengthen customer satisfaction
- Shape and drive the mid to long term strategy and growth plans for the business, including defining Divisions of Responsibility and Ways of Working with internal and external partners
- Lead the Sales Distributed team in Malaysia — comprising Client Managers and Proposals/Order Management professionals — overseeing day-to-day activities, training and development, and assigning responsibilities based on business needs and growth opportunities, while also supporting and guiding the Bangladesh Sales Distributed team; represent the business as a leader both externally and internally
- Champion long term customer relationships and contracts, and be the voice of the customer in alignment with project and execution teams — ensuring expectations are met and promises are delivered — while helping drive and optimize sales systems and tools (data quality, collaborative platforms, streamlined communication) alongside special projects and growth initiatives
- Contribute to budget planning, target setting, and fleet/market evaluation, take ownership of forecast accuracy and pipeline transparency, and drive profitable growth by evaluating opportunities against cost and fostering that mindset across the team and its interfaces, while working closely with commercial counterparts on accurate reporting
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of equivalent experience across various duties and functions within complex, matrix organizations — ideally within rotating equipment or aftermarket-related industries

- Proven experience leading teams with varied experience levels, consistently achieving challenging business targets over an extended period
