A Snapshot of Your Day

A typical workday in this role includes developing and coordinating civil and structural deliverables related to foundations and site interfaces to ensure project requirements are met accurately and efficiently. The civil engineer works closely with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and suppliers to support power plant construction activities and resolve interface issues as they arise. The role also involves supporting quality and compliance efforts, with occasional site visits or vendor engagements to verify construction progress and alignment with design intent.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Define environmental design basis for Large Gas Turbine Projects.
  • Determine and maintain foundation interface information and loads for Large Gas Turbine Packages.
  • Support customer during foundation and embedment design.
  • Review customer and vendor drawings to ensure compliance with Large Gas Turbine requirements.
  • Perform inspections at construction sites to ensure requirements are met.
  • Review, control and own foundation interface 3D models.
  • Complete interface with various disciplines at all levels.
  • Provide engineering assistance to plant construction.
  • Travel as required.

What You Bring

  • Civil Engineering Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering for industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with Codes and Standards applicable in the USA like IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 341, AISC 358, AISC 360, ACI 318 and AWS D1.1.
  • Experience with steel materials common in the Americas, Europe and Asia (AISC, ASTM, EN, GB, JIS).
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Eurocode preferred.
