About the Role
A Snapshot of your day
Your day involves installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and modifying generator control systems and other rotating machinery to ensure reliable and safe operation at customer sites. You act as the key link between customers and internal teams, providing technical expertise, coordinating support, and delivering the highest standards of professionalism and service while supporting a range of power generation products.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Install, service, modify, and troubleshoot generator control and protection systems in line with OEM standards and quality requirements.
- Lead and supervise technical teams during installation, maintenance, and system modification activities.
- Interpret P&IDs and control schematics, perform root cause analysis, and support resolution of complex technical issues.
- Communicate project progress, prepare technical reports, recommend spare parts, and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and identify service opportunities.
- Adhere to the highest EHS and zero-harm standards while being flexible to travel extensively, work in challenging environments, and support day/night, weekend, and holiday operations as required.
What You Bring
- 5 to 7 years of experience in generator overhaul, installation, and related equipment supervision, supported by a High School/GED diploma or Engineering degree.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and portal-based systems for time reporting, expense management, and service documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging customer discussions and protect company interests.
- Sound commercial awareness to understand contract scope, identify out-of-scope work, and support opportunities for additional customer funding.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 80% domestically and internationally), with a valid driver's license; Siemens/Dresser Rand product training and English fluency are preferred.
