A Snapshot of your day

Your day involves planning and coordinating HRSG inspections across Iraq, conducting inspections of HRSGs and associated valves, overseeing mechanical dismantling and reassembly activities, coordinating NDT inspections, and preparing detailed service reports. You will also work as a Mechanical Service Engineer on power plant projects across Iraq and the Middle East, collaborating with customers, contractors, and team members while maintaining a hands-on approach with a strong focus on HSE, quality, and successful project execution.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Develop and prepare HRSG inspection plans in line with contractual requirements for sites across Iraq.
• Perform HRSG inspections, measurements, and equipment assessments to evaluate the condition of pressure parts and related components.
• Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports with maintenance and repair recommendations.
• Analyze inspection data and trends across multiple HRSG units to support reliability and performance improvements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors on HRSG and valve-related activities, while supporting Siemens Energy power plant service projects and customers as a Resident Engineer.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Energy Technology, or Process Engineering, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanical/electrical fitter or engineer; experienced vocationally trained professionals are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Generation industries, particularly with steam-generating equipment, piping systems, or control equipment; HRSG experience is highly advantageous.
• Practical knowledge of HRSG inspections, borescope inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), welding processes, plant construction, and commissioning activities.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, technical drawings, specifications, and international codes and standards, with proficiency in using inspection tools, measuring equipment, and lifting/rigging equipment.
• Strong English communication skills, digital proficiency (Microsoft Office), willingness to travel extensively, and a proactive, safety-focused team-oriented approach with a commitment to HSE, quality, and continuous learning.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
