A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Project Procurement Manager, you’ll be the person who turns sourcing strategy into results: qualifying suppliers, leading negotiations, and steering contracts through their full lifecycle so that every project has the right materials, at the right cost, at the right time. Your decisions directly shape project margins, supply chain resilience, and customer satisfaction, and you'll do this work within a collaborative, cross-cultural team culture that values early involvement, strategic thinking, and hands-on ownership of outcomes that matter to Siemens Energy's mission of enabling the energy transition.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead procurement within project teams by acting as Sub-Project Manager Procurement, embedding yourself in the project management process from the early sales phase through execution
  • Identify and secure the best sourcing solutions by evaluating suppliers and commodities against project requirements and long-term commodity strategies
  • Own end-to-end procurement execution by controlling and monitoring all procurement (and where required, purchasing) activities within your projects.
  • Drive negotiation strategy and results by preparing and leading commodity kick-offs and negotiations with a focus on total cost, contract terms, and non-conformance/incident reduction
  • Strengthen internal and supplier relationships by partnering closely with requisitioners to ensure strong customer care.
  • Champion process excellence and compliance by contributing to the implementation of globally defined procurement methods, processes, and systems

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience across procurement, contract management, project procurement, and/or project management, ideally within a construction or EPC segment.
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in business administration, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, combined with solid grounding in commercial and legal aspects of procurement.
  • Working knowledge of substation equipment categories transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, bus bars, insulators, and control panels along with an understanding of long lead-time dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations and claim management, with the ability to lead or support negotiations, create RFx and eAuctions.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies by applying commodity strategies and adapting them to specific project requirements and constraints.
  • Practical expertise in SAP, along with familiarity with relevant industry standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, or local grid codes).
  • Experience working in international project business with genuine openness to other cultures, plus the ability to provide functional leadership to a project procurement team across tender and execution phases.
