About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day Join us as the Head of Quality Management at our Offshore Lead Factory in Cuxhaven, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest manufacturing quality standards for Wind Power Nacelles. You will lead and mentor a dedicated team, driving a culture of quality and accountability while aligning our quality strategy with the factory’s operational goals. Imagine overseeing our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with industry standards, all while championing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our manufacturing processes and supplier interactions. Your leadership will directly support our strategic objectives and operational integrity, making a significant impact on our mission.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Define and execute the quality strategy for the Cuxhaven factory, ensuring alignment with business objectives over the next 1-3 years.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Management department, fostering a culture of quality and accountability among team members.
- Manage the departmental budget and resources effectively, reporting on quality performance and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.
- Serve as the primary contact for all quality-related matters, influencing stakeholders to adopt best practices.
- Oversee the QMS maintenance and compliance with ISO 9000 and other relevant standards, directing audit programs to identify and address areas for improvement.
- Champion continuous improvement through methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, enhancing process efficiency and product quality
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical), Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience in manufacturing quality management, with several years in a leadership role managing teams and departments.
- Proven expertise in quality methodologies such as Six Sigma and ISO 9000, with relevant certifications like Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with a commitment to accountability and change control.
- Experience in the heavy manufacturing, automotive, or renewable energy sectors is highly advantageous.
