As a GT Digital Services, OnSite Support, your mission is to ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT and OT services at manufacturing sites, acting as the local bridge between business operations, factory users, and global Digital Core and Services teams.
Our OnSite Support professional should possess a good technical understanding of IT topics, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with manufacturing environments.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide onsite IT support for factory and office users, ensuring reliable workplace and infrastructure operations.
- Coordinate and execute local deployment of global IT initiatives while serving as the trusted IT representative for the business.
- Support OT, manufacturing, and factory digital services, identifying opportunities for process improvement and digitalization.
- Manage factory incidents, local escalations, IT hardware lifecycle, and vendor relationships (e.g., Zebra printers and handheld devices).
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy Cybersecurity (CYS) standards and maintain a stable, secure IT environment.
- Support SAP users through troubleshooting, access management, basic SAP Fiori administration, training, documentation, and coordination with SAP support teams to drive issue resolution and user adoption.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in IT roles, including enterprise IT Support, systems administration or network management.
- Knowledge of network (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, LAN, WAN),
- Knowledge of MS Windows, Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of SAP ERP processes and terminology (e.g., users, roles, transactions, organizational structures).
- Basic knowledge of SAP Fiori Launchpad concepts, app navigation, catalogs, groups/spaces, and role-based access principles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- English required; Spanish is a plus for Americas scope.
