As an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Maintenance Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of power plant operations. Your day will revolve around diagnosing faults, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and optimizing control systems to support seamless plant functionality. Expect a hands-on role where your technical expertise directly contributes to plant availability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • 50% I&C System Maintenance and Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Instrumentation & Control (I&C) equipment, including automation processors, sensors, and drives.
  • Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and availability.
  • Conduct on-site and remote troubleshooting to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and test I&C components according to technical specifications and maintenance plans.
  • 30% System Implementation and Optimization
  • Utilize Siemens SPPA‑T3000 and Siemens PLC Step 7 for diagnostics, maintenance, and system optimization.
  • Implement engineering modifications and revisions in control systems and instrumentation.
  • Perform interlock checks and optimize control circuits to enhance plant safety and operational performance.
  • Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and I&C diagrams to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • 20% Safety, Compliance, and Documentation
  • Adhere strictly to the Permit to Work (PTW) system and all HS&E regulations.
  • Use plant management systems (e.g., SPPA‑M3000) for fault reporting, work order management, and material requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments, sharing insights and recommending improvements.

What You Bring ?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic (Electromechanics) Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in service or maintenance roles within industrial environments—preferably power plants—is highly valued.
  • Motivated fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Siemens SPPA‑T3000, PLC Step 7, and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong analytical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills within technical teams.
