A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Wind Turbine Loads Engineer Project Intern, you will join the Turbine Loads India team on a 6-month assignment supporting a project focused on evaluating wind turbine loads resulting from controller updates. You will contribute to aero-elastic simulations, data analysis, and engineering assessments that support turbine design verification and project delivery.

This role offers hands-on exposure to wind turbine load analysis, simulation techniques, and engineering workflows while working closely with experienced loads engineers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the setup and execution of aero-elastic simulations to assess the impact of controller updates on wind turbine loads.
  • Analyze and post-process simulation results to identify trends, evaluate performance, and support engineering decisions.
  • Compare simulation outcomes against design requirements and certification standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to support project reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to organize simulation data and contribute to project deliverables.

What You Bring

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Wind Energy Engineering, or a related field.
  • Academic knowledge of structural dynamics, aerodynamics, simulation, and engineering analysis principles.
  • Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis, scripting, and simulation support.
  • Interest in wind turbine technology, load calculations, and renewable energy systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while managing assigned tasks independently.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment.

About the Team

You will be part of the Turbine Loads India team, supporting the development and validation of wind turbine technologies through advanced load simulation and analysis. The team works closely with control engineers, design engineers, and certification experts to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient turbine performance.

This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in wind energy engineering, work on real project deliverables, and develop technical skills within a global renewable energy organization.
