About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
This position is being created to support the strategic implementation of the AGORA ERP system within the Gas Services division. Initially focused on this key project, the role will subsequently transition to fill a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) vacancy for new onshore projects, ensuring continuity and leveraging the deep system knowledge gained. To address this dual objective, the role is structured around three core areas: leading the commercial aspects of the ERP implementation, managing the full lifecycle of commercial project execution and controlling, and overseeing all related financial, contractual, and risk management activities.
This ensures both the immediate project's success and the long-term commercial health of future projects. Given the focus on financial controlling and systems implementation, the ideal candidate will be a Specialist Professional with a degree in Finance or Accounting and significant experience in commercial project management. Demonstrable expertise in ERP systems (specifically SAP), financial reporting standards, contract management, and risk analysis is essential for this role.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage and optimize project financial results, including revenue, cost, gross profit, and cash flow, with due professional care. Conduct regular project forecasting, reporting, and analysis, preparing detailed Estimate to Complete (ETC) calculations.
- Ensure the accuracy of project books and records, including cost and pricing calculations, and maintain all commercial documentation for reviews and audits. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial guidelines, such as Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRGs), Letter of Approval (LoA), tax regulations, and transfer pricing.
- Manage project guarantees, bonds, project insurance, and foreign currency risks in alignment with corporate hedging guidelines. Act as a key user and/or data steward for the implementation of ERP/SAP systems (AGORA), ensuring smooth and successful deployment in the Commercial Project Management area.
- Analyze customer requirements and examine commercial and contractual feasibility during the project handover phase. Support project procurement and logistics, including the commercial management of spare parts delivery, import/export, and logistics topics.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor invoice certification and payment processing in accordance with project and company standards. Regularly perform lessons learned activities and feed results into organizational knowledge bases to drive continuous process improvement.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks and opportunities in close collaboration with the Project Manager. Manage the entire change order and claim management process with customers, consortium partners, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the primary commercial contact for all stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, internal management, and consortium partners. Ensure all project activities adhere to ethical standards, business conduct guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-7 years of experience as a Commercial Project Manager, specifically handling long-term, complex projects (e.g., 'C' category).
- Demonstrated experience with ERP/SAP systems, particularly in a project business environment; implementation experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with project management methods, tools, and business processes (project execution, sales, purchasing).
- Certified Commercial Project Manager (CPM - Siemens Energy specific) and Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, risk management, project scoping, contract management, claim management, and financial controlling.
- Proficiency in ERP/SAP, experience in project documentation, process improvement, and workflow management.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a commitment to accountability.
