A Snapshot of Your Day
As Head of Internal Controls – Commercial & Project Risks, you will partner with Business Area leaders, Sales, and Project Management teams to strengthen risk management and control effectiveness across the commercial and project lifecycle. You will help shape how Siemens Energy manages commercial, contract, and project execution risks, ensuring controls are embedded within end-to-end processes rather than operating as standalone compliance activities. A key part of your role will be driving data-enabled assurance, supporting transformation initiatives, and helping the business deliver projects successfully while maintaining a strong control environment. This position reports to the Head of Internal Controls. We are building a future-ready Internal Controls organization. We are looking for leaders who move beyond traditional control testing and act as strategic partners in risk mitigation, process excellence, digital transformation, and business performance.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Partner with business leaders to strengthen risk management and control effectiveness across the commercial and project lifecycle
- Drive a proactive and business-focused control environment across Order-to-Cash and project execution processes
- Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and project-related risks before they impact business performance
- Support major transformation initiatives by embedding controls into end-to-end processes and digital solutions
- Leverage data analytics and continuous monitoring to enhance assurance and decision-making
- Collaborate with process owners, risk managers, and Internal Audit teams to deliver integrated assurance
- Promote automation and simplification of controls to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Help improve project outcomes, operational performance, and sustainable business growth
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Internal Controls, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Project Controls, or commercial operations
- Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash processes, project governance, contract management, and risk management
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders across complex global organizations
- Proven track record of driving transformation, process improvement, and control automation initiatives
- Knowledge of data analytics, continuous monitoring, and digital assurance concepts
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CRMA, PMP, or equivalent are advantageous
- Fluent English is required
