A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Supplier Quality Project Manager, you are a natural team player with leadership skills. You coordinate qualification projects and work closely with project managers and their cross-functional teams consisting of commodity managers, operational buyers, suppliers, and our Engineering organization. You support preparation and planning, assist project managers in their project management activities, and help ensure adherence to deadlines in complex projects. In doing so, you pursue the shared goal of ensuring qualified deliveries from qualified suppliers. You will work in a multicultural environment with various departments at both local and global level and regularly report to senior management. Networking is a key factor for success.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Overall responsibility for coordinating qualification project management
- Functional leadership of several cross-functional and international project teams to carry out product and process qualifications (PPQ) in accordance with applicable processes and standards, e.g. by planning and tracking project milestones, ensuring adherence to the PPQ budget, and providing regular reporting on PPQ progress
- Creation, maintenance, and further development of project plans (MS Project)
- Participation in independent execution of technical reviews, risk assessments, and sourcing boards
- Ensuring smooth supplier onboarding, project preparation (sourcing boards), and production support
- Responsibility for budget planning and investment planning within the scope of qualification projects
- Regular reporting of project status to relevant stakeholders
What You Bring
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field, combined with several years of project management experience, ideally in an industrial/manufacturing environment and/or strategic procurement.
- Proven experience managing complex technical projects, preferably in turbomachinery or energy plants, with proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project.
- Strong understanding of production and manufacturing processes, development and qualification procedures, and risk management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, including assertive and confident interaction with both internal and external partners.
- Structured, independent, and goal-oriented working style, with the ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver results.
- Strong team spirit and enthusiasm for working in intercultural, cross-functional teams; fluent German and business-fluent English (written and spoken), with willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
