A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our Operational Procurement team and play a critical role in supporting the Small Gas Turbines business unit! As a key contributor, you will manage the procurement of goods and services essential for ongoing manufacturing and operational activities. Your focus will be on operational procurement and sourcing, supplier and stakeholder management, and data management with process improvement. If you have a proven track record as a buyer in an engineering or manufacturing context, this is your opportunity to ensure business continuity while driving cost-effective and timely acquisitions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase requisition to order placement and delivery confirmation for direct materials.
- You will negotiate pricing, payment terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost-effectiveness for operational requirements.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for a designated portfolio of suppliers, managing day-to-day interactions and resolving issues.
- You will maintain accurate procurement records within the ERP system, supporting inventory control objectives and ensuring timely material availability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance process efficiency and reduce operational costs.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an operational procurement or buyer role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Possess strong negotiation skills and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP for procurement and materials management.
- You demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of supply chain principles, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing.
- Skilled in data management, contract management, and possess strong analytical abilities to support decision-making.
