A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as a Project Manager in the Grid Technologies Substations division, where your expertise will drive the successful delivery of key substation projects in the United Kingdom. Imagine leading the comprehensive project planning and execution of substation projects, ensuring that every phase of the project lifecycle is managed effectively. You will engage in rigorous schedule adherence, financial oversight, and commercial management, while proactively managing stakeholder relationships and mitigating risks. Your role will be pivotal in aligning our projects with strategic growth objectives, making a significant impact on our business expansion and continuity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will develop and deliver comprehensive project plans, defining scope, schedules, and resource requirements for substation projects.
  • Organize and lead project teams, assigning responsibilities and driving progress to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor and report on project status, tracking costs, timing, and staffing against the plan.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage the project execution through to client closure/acceptance, including final documentation, lessons learned, and handover to the warranty department.

What You Bring

  • Core competencies include project planning and scheduling, contract administration, risk and opportunity management, financial control, stakeholder management, procurement, change management, team leadership/development, and health, safety, and quality management.
  • Experience in delivering infrastructure, construction, and engineering projects under NEC contract frameworks, including NEC3 and NEC4 or similar.
  • Proven experience in delivering EPC projects from initial planning through to client acceptance and handover.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You have 5-7 years of project management experience, preferably in the energy, utilities, or heavy engineering industry.
