A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining quality assurance throughout the supply chain, ensuring that our products meet the rigorous standards expected by our customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers, focusing on Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs).
  • Contain, manage, and resolve quality issues related to supplier non-conforming components identified at Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) Siemens Energy assembly facilities, warehouses, or customers globally.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure proper handling of non-conformance issues and assist with process improvements.
  • Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through the Problem Resolution process.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
  • Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business.
  • Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine manufacturing capability and ensure quality systems are in place.
  • Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements while interacting with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances.
What You Bring
  • Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM), and Quality Control routines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organizations to ensure parts are manufacturable.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously with a self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
  • Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
  • Availability to travel 20% of the time within the EU
