A Snapshot of Your Day:

As the Program Manager for Strategic Initiatives, you serve as the operational backbone of the GS Technology Center, leading the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic programs that accelerate the development and deployment of new technologies. You manage the full lifecycle of cross-functional initiatives, from concept through execution, developing integrated project plans, coordinating resources, tracking technical deliverables, and driving process improvements that enhance consistency and efficiency across the organization. Acting as a central liaison between engineering teams, business units, customers, and external partners, you ensure rapid-response projects, customer engagements, executive priorities, and high-impact reviews are delivered successfully. In this fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment, your ability to organize stakeholders, manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, and support strategic objectives is critical to enabling innovation and operational excellence.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Lead cross-functional innovation and technology programs from concept through execution, developing integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Drive program execution by tracking technical deliverables, monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing clear status updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Establish and enhance standardized project management processes, tools, templates, and workflows to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and excellence execution across the Technology Center.
  • Support GS Technology Center operations and strategic planning by contributing to innovation roadmaps, annual operating plans, capital investment strategies, and key facility and equipment initiatives.
  • Monitor program and capital project performance against strategic objectives, budgets, and KPIs, recommending adjustments to optimize outcomes and align with business priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison across engineering, manufacturing, service, supply chain, customers, and external partners while coordinating executive reviews, customer visits, technology demonstrations, and other high-profile strategic engagements.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of project or program management experience, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project lifecycle management, project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, Agile methodologies, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and change management capabilities, paired with critical thinking skills and the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low-emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities are supported through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
