Country Security Manager
A Snapshot of Your Day The Country Security Manager (CSM) is responsible for overseeing the overall security posture of Siemens Energy India in India, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, assets, and operations. The CSM will play a critical role in mitigating risks and safeguarding the company's interests. How You’ll Make an Impact Security Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, including political instability, social unrest, crime, and natural disasters. Risk Management: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans to address identified threats and mitigate risks. Emergency Response: Establish and maintain emergency response procedures, including crisis management plans and evacuation protocols. Security Training: Provide security training and awareness programs to employees, ensuring they are equipped to handle potential security threats. Local Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with local security agencies, government officials, and community leaders to facilitate effective communication and partnership. Incident Management: Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively, coordinating with relevant authorities and taking appropriate measures to protect personnel and assets. Travel Security: Provide guidance and support for employees traveling within Bangladesh, ensuring their safety and security. Security Infrastructure: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of security systems, such as access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection. Compliance: Ensure compliance with local security regulations and international standards. Intelligence Gathering: Monitor local news and intelligence reports to stay informed about evolving security threats. What You Bring Proven experience in security management, preferably in a complex and challenging environment. (Ex. Bangladesh Army or similar security forces) Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and techniques. Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures. Additional Considerations: Given the specific challenges in Bangladesh, the CSM should have a deep understanding of the local security landscape, including political instability, social unrest, and potential threats from criminal or terrorist organizations. They should also be familiar with the country's laws and regulations governing security personnel. The CSM may be required to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure the safety and security of the company's operations.
