About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
- Act as a trusted accounting advisor to North American business units by providing guidance on technical accounting topics, including revenue recognition, project accounting, order entry, and general ledger activities.
- Serve as a key point of escalation for accounting matters, ensuring alignment between business stakeholders, Corporate Accounting, headquarters, and external auditors.
- Support monthly financial close and reporting activities, including review of financial statements, analysis of key financial metrics, and coordination with internal and external audit partners.
- Prepare accounting assessments, technical memos, and documentation to support compliance with accounting policies, including IFRS requirements and internal financial guidelines.
- Utilize digital tools such as SAP, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, and other analytics platforms to enhance reporting capabilities, improve data quality, and drive process automation.
- Identify and implement accounting process improvements, support system enhancements, and contribute to business integration initiatives through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a multinational corporate environment, public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred), or project-based organization.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, revenue recognition, project accounting, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with SAP (FI/CO modules), ERP systems, and financial reporting tools; experience with digital analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex accounting topics to non-financial partners and independently manage projects.
