About the Role
A snapshot of your day
As a Controlling Professional, you will serve as a trusted finance business partner for the Asia Pacific (AP) region, combining financial expertise with digital transformation capabilities to drive business performance and operational excellence. Your day starts with reviewing financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities requiring attention.
You will work closely with finance, operations, sales, and regional leadership teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Throughout the day, you will develop forecasts, perform financial analyses, and evaluate business performance while ensuring compliance with financial reporting and governance standards.
In parallel, you will lead digitalization initiatives by designing automated workflows, developing interactive dashboards, and implementing data-driven solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, and decision-making. By the end of the day, you will translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights that drive continuous improvement across the AP business.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead financial planning activities including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning for the AP business.
- Analyze financial performance, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and working capital, providing actionable recommendations to management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, management presentations, and KPI dashboards.
- Partner with business leaders to monitor performance, identify opportunities for growth, and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and business case evaluations.
- Drive digitalization initiatives by designing and implementing automated workflows using Power Automate, interactive dashboards with Power BI, and business applications through Power Apps.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable digital solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy Financial Reporting Guidelines, internal controls, and governance requirements.
- Support risk management activities by identifying financial and operational risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Act as a key user and subject matter expert for reporting systems, digital tools, and automation solutions across the AP region.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, Business Finance, Digital Finance, or related finance functions.
- Experience in finance transformation, business intelligence, data analytics, or process automation initiatives is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, dashboard development, and process automation.
- Knowledge of financial controls, governance frameworks, and IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights
