A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Engine Movement Operative, you'll play a vital role in supporting the safe movement of gas turbine engines and high-value components throughout our manufacturing facility. Using specialist lifting equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and Hi-Rise equipment, you'll ensure materials are transported safely and efficiently between production, storage, and shipping areas.

Working as part of a skilled logistics and warehouse team, you'll help maintain the smooth flow of operations by accurately recording material movements, supporting inventory activities, and preparing engines and components for dispatch. Every day, you'll contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence while supporting the manufacture of products that power customers around the world.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, Hi-Rise equipment, and other lifting equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and transport gas turbine engines and associated components.
  • Support the movement of materials between warehouse locations, production areas, and shipping facilities while assisting with picking, packing, and preparing products for dispatch.
  • Process inventory transactions, maintain accurate movement records, and support stock counts using warehouse and inventory management systems.
  • Carry out daily safety inspections on lifting equipment, reporting faults promptly and ensuring all operations comply with company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment while promoting Siemens Energy's Zero Harm culture and adhering to quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure operational priorities are met while identifying opportunities to improve material flow and warehouse efficiency.
What You Bring

  • Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or material handling environment, ideally handling large, heavy, or high-value components.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Licence and Overhead Crane Licence, with confidence operating lifting and handling equipment safely.
  • Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems and maintaining accurate operational records.
  • Good understanding of safe lifting practices, warehouse operations, inventory control, and quality procedures.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and accountable approach to work.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent vocational qualification) and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.
