A Snapshot of Your Day
Join Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd (SEITL) in Lincoln as a Material Resource Planning (MRP) Controller, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our supply chain operates efficiently. In this position, you will create, maintain, and communicate detailed delivery plans for specific part orders, enabling us to meet our master production plan. Collaborating closely with the Supply Chain Management Team (SCMT), you will assess the implications of delivery schedules on customer and business requirements, ensuring we consistently meet our commitments.
Your day will involve responding to demand changes, managing stock levels, and ensuring supplier delivery commitments are accurately reflected in our systems. You will lead operational relationships with suppliers, coordinating improvement activities related to planning, control, and delivery. This role is essential in driving our commitment to quality, cost, and delivery, allowing you to make a significant impact on our operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Demand Management: Respond to demand changes by providing insights to the Team Leader/Purchasing Manager regarding customer requirements in line with the company’s Commitment Acceptance process.
- Component Planning: Maintain both Master and Dynamic data for component planning to ensure effective demand cascade through the supply chain.
- Stock Management: Plan and manage stock levels across the supply chain, ensuring they are maintained and utilized appropriately.
- Supplier Coordination: Ensure supplier delivery commitments are accurately reflected in SAP, manage supplier inquiries, and oversee adherence to schedule lines.
- Process Compliance: Utilize company standard systems and processes to resolve potential delivery hazards and ensure compliance.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Lead operational relationships with suppliers, coordinating improvement activities related to planning, control, inventory, and delivery.
- Business Reviews: Conduct business reviews with suppliers to ensure mutual requirements are met, considering the impact on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Issue Management: Manage and coordinate delivery issues, reporting shortages and recovery programs to meet production plans.
What You Bring
- Experience: Working experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, or Logistics, with a solid understanding of production planning and controls.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with quality systems, inventory control, and IT systems, particularly SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities, with a robust approach to problem-solving and proactive engagement.
- Personal Attributes: Demonstrated teamwork and continuous improvement mindset, taking responsibility for personal development and stakeholder engagement.
