A Snapshot of Your Day
This role is responsible for overseeing the financial and commercial management of customer projects throughout their full lifecycle, from bidding and execution to project closing. The position focuses on project financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and profitability analysis, while ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective risk management. Acting as a key business partner to Project Managers, the role helps drive project performance, maintain financial integrity, and identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes and mitigate risks.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage all commercial and financial aspects of assigned customer projects from the bidding phase through to execution and closing.
- Develop and maintain detailed project financial plans, including budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing, manage accounts receivable, and oversee payment milestones.
- Steer contract and claims management from a financial perspective, in close collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Perform financial analysis of project performance, identify deviations from budget, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, financial summaries, and forecasts for management review.
- Execute month-end closing activities for projects, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company accounting guidelines.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of project data in SAP and other relevant financial systems.
- Analyze project profitability, revenue recognition, and working capital to provide actionable insights.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary financial contact for internal and external project audits.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of professional experience in project controlling, commercial project management, or financial planning & analysis within an international, project-driven organization.
- Demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert, capable of managing large or complex projects with a high degree of autonomy.
- Capabilities in financial management and analysis, including financial analysis and planning, budgeting, corporate finance, and business acumen to support informed decision‑making, effective resource allocation, and sustainable business performance.
- Skills in systems and reporting, including the use of SAP applications, report writing, business intelligence, and data visualization to support accurate reporting, performance monitoring, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Proven skills in governance and interpersonal effectiveness, including internal controls, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), influencing skills, and accountability to support compliance, sound financial governance, and effective stakeholder engagement.

You’ll join a Nordic team dedicated to Market and Customer care in Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Baltics. Together, we work closely with the Business Areas across Europe to identify new opportunities and develop new energy solutions.
