A Snapshot of Your Day

As Legal Counsel at Siemens Energy, you will support commercial transactions, service agreements, and energy projects throughout their lifecycle. You will collaborate with business leaders, project managers, and customers to negotiate contractual terms, assess legal and commercial risks, and resolve complex project issues. Your day may include contract negotiations, claims analysis, risk reviews, and providing practical legal guidance to support successful business outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting critical energy and industrial infrastructure projects.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to achieve acceptable business risk levels while supporting company objectives.
  • Prepare and negotiate settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, change orders, and other contractual documents.
  • Develop contract risk assessments and executive summaries for management review and approval.
  • Analyze claims and provide litigation support for projects in execution.
  • Partner with business and project teams to resolve contractual and commercial issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Recommend innovative and practical solutions to mitigate risk and support successful project delivery.

What You Bring

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed and admitted to practice law in one or more U.S. states.
  • 3 to 5 years of legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
  • Strong negotiation, contract drafting, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Commercial transactions and energy industry experience preferred.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
