A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Component Engineer within the Gas Turbine Service Engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting the reliability and performance of Siemens Energy's in-service gas turbine fleet. Your day may involve troubleshooting complex technical issues, supporting outage activities, evaluating compressor, rotor, and casing components, and developing innovative repair solutions. You will collaborate closely with customers, field service teams, repair facilities, and engineering experts to resolve operational challenges and drive continuous product improvements. This role combines hands-on technical problem solving, engineering analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure long-term fleet success.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Provide on-site and remote engineering support for compressor, rotor, and casing-related fleet outage activities and technical issues.
- Troubleshoot complex field, customer, and repair facility challenges while conducting risk assessments related to component life and operational impact.
- Evaluate service-run components, analyze fleet data, and determine repair, inspection, and maintenance recommendations.
- Develop and implement new inspection techniques, repair methodologies, design modifications, and product enhancements to improve fleet performance and reliability.
- Generate and maintain engineering documentation including technical reports, repair instructions, inspection procedures, and bill of materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with global engineering teams, subject matter experts, and customers to communicate technical findings, support presentations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in engineering, preferably within turbomachinery, power generation, rotating equipment, component design, or service engineering.
- Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers and global cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform technical investigations and engineering assessments.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and mechanical design requirements.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with customers and cross-functional teams.

The Compressor, Casings, and Rotor (CCR-US) team is responsible for supporting the operational reliability and continuous improvement of Siemens Energy's gas turbine fleet. The team provides technical expertise across component lifecycle management, outage support, repair development, and engineering analysis. Working in a highly collaborative and global environment, team members partner with field service, repair facilities, customers, and engineering specialists to deliver innovative solutions that maximize fleet performance and customer value.
