Snapshot of Your Day
As a Wind Technician, you will spend most of your day working on-site to keep wind turbines operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. You'll perform both planned and corrective maintenance, diagnose technical issues, and carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs. Alongside field activities, you'll analyze turbine performance data, complete service documentation, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with Siemens Energy's quality and EHS standards. You'll also participate in an on-call rotation to support customers when needed.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to maximize wind turbine availability and reliability.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Analyze basic turbine performance data through SCADA systems to identify operational issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Complete accurate service reports and maintain clear documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to support efficient and effective service execution.
  • Follow all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and quality requirements while contributing to a strong safety culture.
What You'll Bring
  • Vocational training or a technical degree in Mechanics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing electromechanical systems in an industrial environment; wind industry experience is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with solid mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Ability to work confidently with hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
  • Experience using SCADA systems and preparing clear, accurate technical service documentation.
  • Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training certification, or the ability to obtain it, along with a commitment to safe working practices.
