A Snapshot of Your Day
As Head of Strategic Partnerships & Acquisitions (f/m/d), you drive the inorganic growth agenda of Gas Services, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, alliances, and acquisitions. You define and execute a forward-looking ecosystem and M&A strategy, ensuring long-term value creation from identification through execution, integration, and value realization.
You act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and co-own key decisions on portfolio transformation, technology access, market entry, and vertical integration.
How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Identify and assess strategic partnership and M&A opportunities while developing and continuously refining the global M&A and partnership strategy aligned with business priorities
  • Develop business cases, financial models, valuation analyses, and executive presentations
  • Support due diligence, transaction execution, negotiations, and approval processes in collaboration with Corporate M&A and cross-functional teams
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, emerging technologies, and capability gaps to identify growth opportunities and maintain a structured partnering and M&A pipeline
  • Build and maintain strategic external relationships with partners, investors, corporates, and innovation ecosystems to enable long-term growth
  • Support post-deal integration, synergy realization, and value creation while providing strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders
What You Bring
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive professional experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Strategy, Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, Management Consulting, or Corporate Finance
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with proven experience in transaction processes, due diligence, negotiations, and strategic business case development
  • Proven track record in preparing executive management presentations, investment recommendations, and leading complex strategic projects
  • International experience, ideally in the United States, through professional assignments, studies, projects, or transaction exposure; experience in industrial, energy, or technology environments is an advantage
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing teams and influence senior executives; fluent in English, with German as a plus
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
