A Snapshot of Your Day

The role is essential for maintaining the operational supply chain for Renewables & Traction business. To meet these objectives, this role will focus on two primary areas: operational procurement execution and supplier performance management. This includes the end-to-end process from converting purchase requisitions into orders, managing delivery schedules, and addressing supplier-related issues to ensure a resilient supply of materials. Given this focus, the ideal candidate will possess practical experience in tactical purchasing within a manufacturing context. Key requirements include proficiency in procurement software such as SAP, strong analytical abilities for process optimization, and effective communication skills for managing supplier relationships.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • 50% Operational Procurement Execution
    • Process incoming purchase requisitions by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
    • Manage the full lifecycle of purchase orders, including tracking, expediting, and confirming delivery dates to align with production needs.
    • Negotiate prices and payment terms for low-threshold transactions to meet cost-efficiency targets.
    • Maintain and update supplier master data in the system to ensure accuracy and integrity of procurement information.
  • 30% Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding order-related communications, such as delivery schedules and potential delays.
    • Monitor supplier on-time delivery (OTD) and quality performance, escalating persistent issues to strategic procurement or supplier quality management.
    • Address and resolve routine supplier performance issues to ensure continuity of supply.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including requisitioners and order management, to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies.
  • 20% Process Improvement and Analysis
    • Identify and suggest opportunities for process optimization, such as bundling purchase orders or optimizing minimum order quantities (MoQ).
    • Analyze purchasing data to support risk mitigation and identify areas for improvement in the procurement process.
    • Contribute to commodity circle meetings by providing operational insights and feedback on supplier performance.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a technical, business, or supply chain-related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, operations, or a similar function, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in English is required for communication with international suppliers and teams.
