To address these aims, the role is structured around three core areas: the development and execution of regional commodity strategies, comprehensive supplier lifecycle and relationship management, and rigorous commercial and contract management. This structure ensures a strategic approach to sourcing that is grounded in strong supplier partnerships and commercially sound agreements. Given the focus on these areas, the ideal candidate will be a Senior Professional with advanced knowledge and experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management within an industrial context.

    • Drive supplier performance improvement programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and supply chain resilience.
    • Collaborate with Global Commodity Managers (GCMs) to ensure the regional supplier base is effectively utilized across Siemens Energy businesses.
  • 30% Regional Commodity Strategy & Execution
    • Develop, document, and execute regional commodity strategies for heavy components, aligning with global procurement goals and business unit requirements for the China/Taiwan region.
    • Conduct continuous market analysis to monitor dynamics, identify sourcing risks and opportunities, and provide market intelligence to internal stakeholders.
    • Define and implement sourcing initiatives to achieve targeted improvements in cost, quality, on-time delivery, and lead times.
    • Ensure transparency of spend and cost structures for the assigned commodity portfolio through regular reporting and analysis.
  • 30% Commercial & Contract Management
    • Lead the preparation and negotiation of frame contracts, price agreements, and complex terms and conditions with regional suppliers.
    • Manage the contract administration process, ensuring supplier compliance with all terms and conditions.
    • Generate, document, and implement cost-saving measures, and monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as savings, supplier performance, and managed spend.
    • Partner with internal functions like engineering and quality to drive early procurement involvement, value engineering, and cost-out activities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
