A Snapshot of Your Day
The Field Service System Administrator is responsible for the implementation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems in industrial environments such as power plants and refineries. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of customer facilities by providing hands-on technical support and system administration.
The position focuses on the T3000 control system platform, including system commissioning, software and hardware upgrades, backups, network administration, and troubleshooting of complex system issues. Responsibilities also include managing industrial networks (switches, routers, firewalls) and supporting cybersecurity and system integrity requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems to ensure reliable operation and availability of industrial facilities.
- Perform system upgrades, software and hardware maintenance, backups, and recovery procedures to maintain system integrity and minimize operational downtime.
- Administer Siemens T3000 control system environments, including application server installations, configurations, updates, and ongoing system support.
- Manage and maintain industrial network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, bus systems, and network diagnostics to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement cybersecurity practices within industrial control environments, including access management, security patches, antivirus deployment, and secure data communication protocols (OPC Classic/OPC UA).
- Collaborate with site teams and ensure compliance with EHS and Quality standards while delivering effective field service solutions in challenging industrial environments.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
- Professional experience in I&C system commissioning, industrial automation, network administration, and field service environments.
- Experience with T3000 System Administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems, control concepts, field instrumentation, and system commissioning.
- Experience managing industrial networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and bus system architectures.
- Ability to perform software and hardware installations, system upgrades, backups, and restore procedures.
- Experience with HMI monitoring, network diagnostics, fault analysis, and control sequence optimization.
- Understanding of industrial cybersecurity concepts, including access management, patching, antivirus solutions, and communication protocols such as OPC Classic and OPC UA.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in field environments with high flexibility and travel requirements.
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.
- Professional English proficiency.
