About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our Offshore Quality Management organization and take an active role in ensuring welding quality across a global supplier base supporting offshore equipment projects. You will work directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to assess welding and NDT practices, follow up on fabrication and inspection activities, and address quality risks before they impact execution in the NPD stage. Your contribution ensures that welded equipment meets required standards and performs reliably in demanding offshore environments.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Execute supplier and contractor qualification and assurance processes focused on welding and NDT capabilities.
- Assess supplier welding setups, including welding procedures (WPS) and welder/operator qualifications (WPQ).
- Perform audits aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, as well as welding-specific standards such as ISO 3834-2, EN 1090-2 and DNV lifting gear where applicable.
- Evaluate NDT methods and certifications, ensuring personnel qualifications (ISO 9712 or equivalent).
- Drive APQP activities for welded components, ensuring control of critical-to-quality welding parameters.
What You Bring
- Solid educational background and experience in welding engineering or supplier quality within heavy industry or offshore environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of welding processes (e.g., MIG/MAG, TIG) and common weld defects.
- Familiarity with NDT methods and acceptance criteria, including inspection report interpretation.
- Knowledge of welding and quality standards such as ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090-2.
- Business-level English proficiency and readiness to travel internationally (approximately 25%) to support supplier audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
About the Team
You will be part of the Offshore Quality Management, Equipment and Contractors organization. The team works across the full project lifecycle, from early design and supplier selection through manufacturing and offshore execution. You collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and external suppliers to ensure quality standards are met and risks are proactively managed. The team plays a key role in safeguarding safe and timely offshore execution through structured quality assurance, supplier qualification, and continuous improvement — including strong focus on welding quality and fabrication excellence
