A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us as a Buyer, where you will play a crucial role in implementing efficient operational purchasing processes. You will be responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet operational needs while considering price, quality, and on-time delivery. Imagine processing incoming customer requests—whether they come through workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, or emails—ensuring that you meet agreed cycle times and quality standards while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring continuity of supply and supporting our mission for sustainability.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will process purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Manage purchase orders, tracking and expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials aligned with demand.
  • Ensure timely delivery of items and expedite orders when necessary.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order-related items, such as delivery dates, and escalate risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance, addressing any performance issues as needed.
  • Maintain and update supplier master data to ensure accuracy in the database.
  • Negotiate prices and payment terms for low-threshold transactions.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus by handling requests promptly and with high-quality standards.
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively seek opportunities for process optimization and improvement in relevant areas, such as MoQ optimization and bundling of purchase orders.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, engineering, or operations within manufacturing functions.
  • Proficiency in SAP (SAP Hana preferred) and MS Office.
  • Advanced English proficiency is essential, and German skills would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult topics confidently.
