A Snapshot of Your Day
Delegation and Training Coordinator and Competence Manager at Siemens Energy
This position for a Delegation and Training Coordinator and Competence Manager is a new role within the Regional Offices of the Delegation Office, created to support the team's extended responsibilities in the Africa region. The primary business driver is the need for dedicated oversight of personnel coordination and development to ensure operational readiness and compliance for service delivery in Onshore Field Service Africa. To address this, the role is structured around three core functions: coordinating the delegation of technical personnel to service projects, managing the end-to-end logistics for employee training programs, and systematically tracking and maintaining staff competencies and qualifications. This approach ensures that the right people with the right skills are available for deployment, meeting both project demands and regulatory standards. Given the focus on workforce management and team leadership, the ideal candidate will be a Team Leader (M1) with experience in resource planning, training coordination, and competence administration. They must be capable of supervising a team of para-professionals, managing operational workflows, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures in a dynamic, multi-country service environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Coordinate mobilization of technical personnel to service projects across the Africa region, ensuring delegations being in time
- Act as the central point of contact for delegation requests, liaising with project managers, service teams, and employees to manage schedules and resolve conflicts.
- Manage all pre-deployment logistics for delegated staff, including travel arrangements, visa applications, and site access requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel assignments and availability in the resource planning system.
- Coordinate and drive improvements or escalations regarding travel management and expenses in the region.
- Plan, schedule, and organize technical, safety, and compliance training sessions for regional employees based on identified needs and mandatory requirements in alignment with the line manager.
- Track training completion and maintain accurate records in the learning management system (LMS).
- Develop and maintain the competence matrix for all technical staff, ensuring qualifications and certifications are accurately documented.
- Monitor the validity of employee certifications, proactively scheduling renewals and required re-assessments to prevent lapses in compliance.
- Generate and present regular reports on team competence levels, training progress, and compliance status to management.
- Ensure all personnel meet the required competence standards for their roles and assigned tasks, supporting internal and external audits.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in handling immigration topics
- 3-5 years of experience in workforce planning, training coordination, or resource management, preferably within a technical or industrial service environment.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day work of others.
