As a Gas Turbine Technician, you will be technically responsible for the hands-on execution of service events on gas turbines. This role involves performing mechanical dismantling, overhauling, and assembly tasks, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will operate in a dynamic field service environment, contributing directly to the reliability and performance of power generation assets. The core responsibilities include managing on-site maintenance activities, from participating in safety briefings to overseeing subcontractors. You will be accountable for the inspection and management of tools, the handling of spare parts, and assisting with re-commissioning processes. A significant part of your role will be to ensure strict adherence to all company protocols, including EHS and compliance regulations, while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting. We are looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the mechanical maintenance of gas turbines. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional manual skills, proficiency with mechanical measurement tools, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Effective communication skills in English are essential for collaborating with the team, managing subcontractors, and ensuring procedural accuracy.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Execute the dismantling of turbine systems including noise enclosures, insulation, piping, and electrical components.
  • Perform disassembly of core components such as casings, combustion systems, vane carriers, bearings, and shaft seals.
  • Conduct runout checks, prepare the gas turbine rotor for removal, and contribute to NDT examinations.
  • Execute the reassembly of all turbine components, including installation, alignment, and connection of all systems.
  • Refurbish external components such as oil pumps, coolers, and turning devices.

· Lead outage preparation, site set-up, and manage on-site subcontractors to ensure alignment with project protocols.

· Manage tool control, including inspection, inventory, and proper packing for transport and demobilization.

· Control and document spare parts received from shift leaders, ensuring proper handling and inventory management.

· Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure strict adherence to all EHS and site-specific safety protocols.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical erection and maintenance assignments related to gas turbines, preferably in the power generation sector.
  • Extensive experience in testing and measurement using various mechanical measurement devices.
  • Proficiency in converting between different units of measurement.
  • Exceptional manual skills include chiseling, sawing, filing, rubbing, mortising, and grinding.
  • Deep understanding of gas turbine mechanical erection and maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of field service safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
  • Ability to manage on-site resources, including subcontractors and parts inventory.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English for technical communication, reporting, and collaboration.
