Global Product Manager – Transformers Service Lifecycle Management

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Global Product Manager, you own the factory repair and refurbishment service portfolio element for transformers from a Product Lifecycle Management perspective. You shape the portfolio strategy, roadmap, value proposition, modular offering structure, lifecycle governance, and innovation pipeline while ensuring alignment with customer needs, installed base insights, market trends, factory capabilities, and Grid Technologies service growth strategy. You work closely with Sales, Service Execution Units, Product Management, and Marketing to translate market needs and service ideas into scalable portfolio elements, new service offering concepts, and clear go-to-market enablement.

You support operations in strategic opportunities and customer discussions from a product perspective.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the global portfolio strategy and lifecycle management for the ‘transformer factory repair and refurbishment’ service portfolio element, while shaping the service positioning, standardized offering structure, and portfolio roadmap.
  • Own the end-to-end product management scope from ideation, concept development, and business case validation to market launch preparation, scaling support, lifecycle management, and performance tracking – in alignment with related offerings (e.g., diagnostics, maintenance, retrofit, and lifetime extension solutions).
  • Define and steer go-to-market readiness and sales enablement (e.g., value propositions, sales packages, training, workshops, and roll-out communication) in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive innovation for new transformer service offerings by translating customer insights, market and installed base figures, and execution feedback into new service concepts and portfolio elements to contribute to Siemens Energy’s service growth strategy.
  • Represent the transformer factory repair and refurbishment service portfolio in customer engagements, industry events, conferences, and executive forums providing transparency on roadmap progress, market feedback, risk, and priorities.
  • Act as the global product management interface between key stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, R&D, Service Operations, Factories, Sales and Regions), ensuring alignment through portfolio governance, clear communication, and feedback loops.
  • Support strategic portfolio initiatives, and partnerships by evaluating technology fit, scalability, customer value, and relevance for future transformer service offerings.

What You Bring

  • You hold an excellent university degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field (Bachelor, Master or equivalent).
  • You bring 3-5 years of professional experience in grid technology (ideally transformer knowledge) and a solid understanding of service business models and lifecycle topics.
  • You have a proven ability to define value propositions, structure scalable portfolio elements, develop business case assumptions, and translate customer needs into actionable product and service concepts.
  • You combine strong project management skills with a solid commercial understanding (e.g., cost structures, pricing and business cases), complemented by outstanding networking skills.
  • You convince stakeholders and senior leadership through excellent communication abilities and represent the transformer service portfolio confidently in customer discussions and industry events utilizing your profound presentation skills.
  • You push your AI literacy with curiosity and are eager to implement into business environments.
  • You speak English fluently and enjoy collaborating with a multi-dimensional, global team.
