Power Transformer Control & Wiring Designer Engineering
A Snapshot of Your Day
This role is for individual contributor, responsible for preparing designs of Controls and wiring diagrams for Power transformers as well as for achieving design innovations and the optimization of the end products in compliance to Siemens Energy design rules, quality standards, cost and time schedule at Siemens Energy Power Transformers Factory at Guanajuato, Mexico.
How You’ll Make an Impact (see Example of activities)
- Design and develop control panels for large power transformers.
- Create wiring diagrams, cabinet layout drawings and schematics for control panels and associated electrical systems for customer approval and production.
- Order associated materials and components like wires, terminal blocks, panels, switchgear, monitoring/protection/control instruments etc.
- Create drawings and BOMs related to control panels and wiring
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that designs meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure that all designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.
What You Bring ( see example of activities)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 0-1 years of experience in control panel and wiring design for medium or large power transformers.
- Knowledge of different electronics devices used in Transformer control system for monitoring, protection & controlling temperature, voltage regulation, Annunciation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, E3 Series or Eplan electric design software.
- Solid knowledge in Electrical Control processes, Protection Selection and Calculation, and Wiring.
- Generation and interpretation of Electrical drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and control panel design principles.
- Knowledge and management of BOM in technical drawings.
- Responsibility for complying with and/or enforcing the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current integrated management system (EHS, Quality).
Key Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English is necessary.
- Experience working in high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Results-oriented.
- Effective co-ordination with manufacturing and suppliers.
- Self-motivated to produce high quality results within the time allocated, with limited supervision.
- Experience with SAP is an added advantage.
