A Snapshot of Your Day
As the New Installation Resources Manager, you will lead a specialized group of mechanical Technical Field Assistance (TFA) engineers dedicated to the successful installation of new gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators. You will be at the forefront of ensuring our global projects are staffed with highly skilled and certified professionals, directly contributing to the operational excellence and reliability of our energy solutions. This includes recruiting top talent, developing comprehensive training and certification programs, and strategically deploying personnel to new unit job sites. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and provide critical technical support to resolve complex issues that arise during field operations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a strong background in power plant construction or maintenance and a proven ability to manage technical teams remotely across different time zones.
How You’ll Make an Impact
● Manage and prioritize team resources and workload in a fast-paced environment, ensuring alignment with project timelines and changing needs.
● Serve as a key technical escalation point, providing expert guidance to the field team to resolve complex installation issues.
● Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of mechanical Technical Field Assistance (TFA) engineers.
● Develop, implement, and manage the training and certification program for all team members to ensure technical proficiency.
● Conduct performance management, provide coaching, and foster professional development to build a high-performing, engaged team.
● Facilitate effective communication and support for a remote team operating across various time zones and countries.
What You Bring
● Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical) or a related technical field. An equivalent combination of extensive professional experience and/or advanced technical education may be considered.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant maintenance, construction, or field service.
● Demonstrated experience in a leadership role managing technical professionals, preferably in a remote or field-based environment.
● This role requires a strategic mindset for resource planning and a willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
● Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
