We are looking for a Deputy Site Manager to join our UK Offshore Service Leadership team. Based onshore at the Gwynt y Mor, Operations and Maintenance base, in Mostyn, Wales, the successful candidate will work closely alongside the Site Manager responsible for all work packages at site and to manage that the daily tasks succeed with the resources required. The individual is most organizational capable to support all areas of developing communication and processes, share the expertise with larger teams on site and act as a manager on site.

You will lead, manage and set objectives and deliver agreed results that have direct impact within the site. It is expected independently to explain facts, practices, lessons learned etc. to the site personnel, to customers, and internal stakeholders with SGRE. In this leadership role, you will ensure the Zero Harm principles and behaviours are adhered to, and promote health, safety and wellbeing.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Coordinating persons at site and manage the distribution of tasks in the team and keeps an overview of all tasks.
  • Ensure compliance at site with EHS standards according to the business and local requirements. Active safety leadership on site - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions
  • Ensure appropriate resources are available, trained and upskilled to achieve site performance targets within budget.
  • Maintain service and retrofit KPI's and ensuring all tasks are being completed within relevant timescales.
  • Maintain and develop good working relationship with customer organization(s) and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Line management and performance management of shift staff in line with internal processes. Monitor all sickness reporting and carry out all back to work interviews for all on site personnel.
  • Ensure that the necessary infrastructure at site is available and processes are optimized.
  • Supports the hiring process of technicians and take care for progress in developing of technician.
  • Coach and develop the team and promote upskilling.
  • Assist in the production and publication of accurate site reports for both internal and external customers. Assist in the creation of the site delivery plan.

What you bring

A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for:

  • Proven experience within an Operational environment ideally in a large and complex environment where you have delivered against objectives and targets
  • An emerging leader with have a passion of building and maintaining motivated and committed teams, ideally delivering in a safety-critical environment as well as building and managing customer relationships and navigating a complex organisation to ensure a highly positive customer experience
  • You will understand standard safety, and operational performance metrics and how to influence them and will be a problem solver with the ability to lead by example
  • Be able to commute to Mostyn on a daily basis and be flexible with hours when needed for the operational role.
  • Experience or qualifications in either a mechanical or electrical discipline an advantage, but not a requirement.
